Bible Timeline IX – This Is Your Story!

Where do we fit in this history and plan? What can we learn from the characters in the panorama?

Jesus Christ did not come to prove a point. He did not come to start a new religion. Jesus Christ cam to the earth because He loves you and I!

“God so loved the world (that’s us) that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

What a glorious and liberating truth is it when we realise that Biblical History is not removed from the reality of now. It is not just a re-telling of past events, but a recognition that those events are vitally relevant right now to you and I!

You are the reason He came. Mankind is the reason all of Creation came into being. And the motivation for this universe, in all its intricate and vast wonder, was the Father’s heart of love, and desire for a family.

Today, an invitation is extended to all, every man, woman and child, to come and be embraced into the Father’s household, through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Such things may sound unreasonable – but when has love ever made sense? We believe in the heart, not the mind. We can grasp these realities only with the inward man. And our confession, the overflow of a heart touched with revelation and grace, brings us into the amazing experience of salvation.

    This is my story:
My journey through the Holy Land

I know I am still a traveler until finally I reach the destination. It is been a long time ago since when I left the place of my origins. Since then or I would rather say, since when for the first time I smelt an air in my nostrils, since when for the first time I saw a light shining into my eyes, since when for the first time I felt a gentle touch of my mother’s hand, since when for the first time I tested a milk from her breast, since when for the first time I heard my father’s voice saying: look here, this is my boy, since then the life was and always has had been to me all about studying.
In principle; studying about myself, studying others and surrounding environment. At the every moment in my life I am a learner, I am a student, I am a traveler and I know that’s going to be to the end of the days.

As a significant part of my life there is this story I want to share with you before I continue.
When I was still a teenager it was about year 1967 when there was this war between Israel and Arabic countries. That time there was this great propaganda about this particular war. The world media called it “War for the holly land”. My father said to me: Look at this Manius. They fighting for the holy land there again. Look. Imagine. Imagine the globe. Imagine the earth from afar like a big ball. Imagine all continents, their shapes, mountains, valleys, oceans, rivers etc., all of it. Imagine. Imagine? I said: Yes. Drain the water from the face of the earth. Drain it all and you’ll be left with a dry land. Actually you’ll be left with a dry rock. The solid rock. Wherever you point your finger on, on this ball, on any place on this rock it is going to land on the same rock, on the same land.
Where is exactly the holy land? I asked. My father answered: Everywhere. Everywhere is a land. Everywhere the land is holy.

    In Peace Forever
    Marek

Thanks for leaving your Story Marek. Each of us has a unique and powerful story to tell of how God has led us to Himself. Each of us is on a journey, like Abraham and the men and women of Hebrews 11, pilgrims looking for and anticipating a country and a city whose Builder and Maker is God Himself:

      Heb. 11:13-16
These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

It is great that we can enjoy the journey together as we follow Christ Jesus.
