The First No-hell

Imagine there’s no heaven. So went the Lennon anthem. No hell down below us. Up above, only sky?

I get the sentiment. I understand the thinking. Hell has been used as a threat to leverage people into being ‘good’ for centuries. It is the ultimate whip to bring mere fearful mortals into obedience to religious tyranny.

But Jesus Christ never used hell as leverage to coerce people to believe in Him, or His message.

On the other hand, He did not get people to shut their eyes to the reality of its existence though. He spoke of hell as a place prepared for the devil and his angels. Never for people.

““Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:” (Matthew 25:41 NKJV)

See, in the reality of the spiritual world, it does not all come down to do’s and don’ts the way religion teaches. It comes down to allegiances.

Satan and his spirit cohorts are heading for hell at full speed. If you choose to tie yourself to them, you too, as an eternal spirit being, are welcome to tumble headlong with them into never ending torment.

This is not God’s desire or intention for anyone.

He sent His one and only Son, born sinless of a virgin, to ensure that no one need choose this avenue. But He’s not going to force anyone.

And here’s the rub. Jesus not only is going to Heaven. He is already there!

Join yourself to Him and no-hell, no-hell, no-hell, no-hell is a present and wonderful reality for you.

Why would anyone in their right mind want to imagine no heaven when we have an open invitation to join Him there? Not in the sweet by and by, but right now. Man.

It’s a place where every tear is wiped away.

A place where sin and death, pain and grief, have lost their grip forever.

Heaven is a place of eternal life where every atom pulsates with the life and love of God the Father.

Where all barriers between mankind and their Creator are removed.

A place where the eternal intentions of Love’s bidding are obeyed to the detail.

Now that is worth celebrating.
