How To Pray – A passionate and animated lesson!

Prayer is such a powerful thing. People sometimes forget just how mindblowing the reality of prayer and the practice of prayer can be. The fact that the Creator of the Universe desires an audience with you should make your hair stand on end! And not only that, you come not a a mere subject before a benevolent, but nevertheless distant, King, but rather to an eager Father who has already declared that it is His good pleasure to give you the Kingdom (Luke 12:32).

The following short videos are excerpted from a recent Bible training class in the UK where I spoke passionately about the power of prayer in the life of the believer. I am certain they will be a blessing to you! (You will have to forgive my obvious enthusiasm in the vids – I get excited when I talk about praying and seeking God).

How To Pray – God Shall Supply All My Needs (6 mins 14 secs)

    David:

Your first video reminded me of what I was told so often when first going into recovery and going to AA or NA meetings…”Just show up! You never know when you will hear exactly what you need today.” Later in my recovery I was reminded to continue to ‘show up’. One never knows who might benefit from seeing someone that exhibits that recovery is a reality…the programs work. That was our responsibility to continue to “carry the message.’ God works in those rooms, of that I am convinced.

I could not help but think watching the 3rd video that Jesus was so weakened by his 40 days isolated in the desert having fasted when he faced Satan.

No profound arguments… no long spiritual diatribes. Jesus only responded with The Word. He countered by quoting scriptures.

Isa 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

You offered a very profound teaching there my friend!

Pray and stand on His Word. It will be honored for He is the “I AM THAT I AM” and
Luk 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Thank you for the reminder of the faith we can have after doing all . . .Stand!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Al – The Word works when we put it to work! Your story is an inspiration…

    Hi David

Brillant, not too long and enough truth to stir up my spirit man to go and pray.

Sometimes we can complicate things, when really it is so simple. Thanks for bringing me back to basics.
