IN THE DAY OF HIS POWER, PEOPLE WILL BE WILLING

Psalm. 110:3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning
There really is no substitute for the presence of God. We can try to motivate people with inspiring stories of past victories, or even testimonies of present struggles we have overcome, but ultimately there has to be juice in the engine to carry us to the destination God has appointed for us.
The problem with sourish motivation is that often it just does not fill the tank enough to take us all the way.
How many projects have begun with a fanfare of enthusiasm, only to fizzle out after only months of a few years? This kid of program driven mentality is epidemic in the church today.
But here in Psalm 110:3 we discover something of divine beauty. “From the womb of the morning”, as men and women spend time delighting themselves in “the beauties of holiness”, drinking from the presence of God, they emerge with a divinely inspired willingness to live and love with joyful abandon to God’s purposes.
Too often people are coerced to give or act and do so under compulsion, but here we find a company of people who are dripping with the dew of God’s morning kisses, ready and prepared to touch the world with a fresh message. Not a message of obligation, but one of liberty.
Judges 5:2 says that when the leaders lead, the people will willingly offer themselves. May we as leaders in the Body of Christ be the first to be found with our Lord and God, in the womb of the morning, where our own plans and purposes are laid down at His feet, and His plans and purposes are conceived and borne in our hearts.
Let a new leadership arise, clothed and beautiful, humble and holy, and may the people of God willingly follow. First to the secret place of the Father’s presence, and then to the world with His love and His power.

At our prayer meeting last week I heard the words in my spirit “let all flesh be silent and let the voice of heaven be heard”
the presence of God will always be felt when the people wait for everything of the soul and flesh to be silent before God – we are so often driven by our programmes that we do not allow enough time for waiting on God. This is what it truly means to gather in His name and this is when we truly experience his Glory – when our thoughts are captive to Christ and our whole being is centred on Him alone. This is where true worship begins and what the Father rejoices in.
    2 Corinthians 3:17-18
17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
This is where I love to be – words cease, all striving ends, love floods my soul, I am in the presence of a Holy God.

hi there, i full agree with Tony, theres a song that comes to mind “i just want to be where U are, dwelling daily in your presence, i dont want to worship from afar, draw me near to where U are. i want to be where U are, dwelling in your presence, feasting at your table, surrounded by Your glory, in Your presence thats where i always want to be, i just want to be, i just want to be with U.

there is truly no better place to be. God bless

When I look into Your holiness
When I gaze into Your loveliness
    When all things that surround
Become shadows in the light of You

When I’ve found the joy of reaching Your heart
When my will becomes enthralled in Your love

Hai…..guys, praise to Jesus…son of living god.

The word ‘….beauties of holiness ..ps 110:3′, made me wonder. The picture attached above,is beautiful. Reminds me versus from ps 23, ‘he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul…..’. The lord brings me to quiet waters not only to quence my thirst, but also to gaze his face via reflection on the still waters.

    David,
Its quiet amazing how holy spirit used you to open my eyes on that topic-”in the days of His power…”that It all requires a new leadership with Godly character to lead the people to God and to the world with His love and power.
    God bless you more abundantly.

there’s no substitute for God. but it can be difficult to trust the mysterious and the miraculous in a world that thrives on certainty and reliability. that’s why we have to stay focused on the mysterious aspects of life to put the mundane in its proper context.

    Hi David

Agree with the comment about starting and not completing projects which is obviously not pleasing to God !? Also being divinely inspired a better place to be, not relying on one’s own strength !

    God bless

    Oliver

Hey Oliver, great to see you here on the JC blog. Regarding pleasing God, I think He is a lot more gracious and patient than many have made HIm out to be. Sure, He desires the best for us and wants to see us excel in all that we do, but He is first our loving Father with an infinite heart of patient love. I wish I were more like Him with my kids!
